We’re looking for experienced Data Engineers for a long-term (full-time equivalent shared between 3 people) public sector project focused on maintaining and developing a modern Azure-based data platform.
Location: Remote (Finland)
Languages: Finnish (required), English
Rate: ∼ 80€/h
Must-have skills
Proven experience as a Data Engineer with hands-on work in Azure Data Platform environments
Strong skills in ETL/ELT process design, data modeling, and integration development
Proficiency with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and SQL Server
Understanding of data security, pseudonymization, and GDPR compliance
Experience working in hybrid on-prem / cloud environments
Nice-to-have skills
Experience with Azure DevOps (version control, CI/CD pipelines)
Familiarity with data monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor or Splunk
Knowledge of Power BI or similar reporting environments
Certifications:
Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
Practical experience with data quality, error handling, and logging automation
What you’ll do
Maintain and develop Azure Data Factory pipelines and SQL-based data transformations
Monitor data flows, troubleshoot issues, and implement automated recovery solutions
Manage pseudonymization, logging, and data retention processes
Collaborate closely with architects and service management on platform improvements
Support ongoing documentation, data governance, and process standardization
