We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer / Integration Specialist for a long-term project. You’ll work on data flows, integrations, and analytics in a modern cloud and data environment—bridging backend systems and business insights.

Allocation: 100%
Duration: 12+ months (extension likely)
Location: Remote (Finland)
Languages: Finnish and English
Rate: Offer

Must-have skills

  • 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Integration Specialist

  • 2+ years of experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum / Kanban / XP)

  • 2 relevant references from public sector, research, or education projects (not older than 5 years, combined duration ≥12 months)

Nice-to-have skills

  • Data analytics & reporting: R, Power BI, DAX, Excel Services, SSRS

  • Databases: PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, MariaDB, MongoDB

  • Data warehousing & ETL: Pentaho, SSIS

  • Programming languages: Python, Java, ASP.NET Core, .NET

  • Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift

  • Indexing & search: ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana, OpenSearch

  • APIs: REST, GraphQL, Swagger, SOAP, JAXB

  • Test automation: Robot Framework, JUnit, Xunit, Protractor

What you’ll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and integrations between systems

  • Implement ETL processes and optimize data storage and access

  • Build dashboards and reports using modern analytics tools

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and scalability
